Forum : What?s Your Story? : Introduce yourself, don't be shy! http://www.shewired.com/forum/ Like everybody that's from Los Angeles, I refer to myself as being from Los Angeles, even though I'm in one of the many surrounding suburbs. I don't know what else to say. Tommorow at six I get momentous news. Today at just before five I was in the post office. I mention the PO because there was a line, and everybody was complaining about the holidays (some guy sending a package mentioned how much he hated it), and so were the postal people working because of it. Shouldn't we just be glad to be here? I know I am. I read a lot, and never went out much (when I had mostly Lesbian friends their stories about "the scene" used to make my hair stand on end). After nearly three years of nothing but the most casual dating somebody finally really interested me. But there are too many cultural prohibitions (on her part). I don't feel lonely, and my friends have accused me of not being aggressive. I'm not a wallflower, though. Which is kind of a problem. I seem confident and assured, and I've literally had women throw themselves at me. To which my response is usually to unhook their arms, and go off and deliberate about the matter for 24-72 hours. At that point they're understandably upset. I don't mention it to sound arrogant -- it's just been an odd phenomenon of the last 6-9 months. I do take a long time to express myself. Or maybe I'm just lazy? But you can never have too many friends, right?
